The participation of the 21st generation of the Political School in the World Forum of Democracy, Strasbourg

November 2023

Pristina Institute for Political Studies, as a long-standing tradition, participated in the World Democracy Forum with the 21st Generation of the Political School of Kosovo, in the city of Strasbourg.

Through the forum's interestingly themed discussions and sessions, we delved deep into the world of democracy and learned many valuable lessons during these challenging times for democracy in the world.

We had the privilege of visiting the European Court of Human Rights, alongside the School of Politics in Albania (Academy of Political Studies). The group had the opportunity to meet with the Albanian representation team at the European Court of Human Rights, which was an interesting experience for the group, which further enriched our understanding of human rights and justice, as well as Albania's experience at the Court.

On November 7, we had the honor of visiting the Consulate General of Kosovo, where we met the ambassador Mr. Hiseni and the ambassador of Albania Mr. Koresh. This was a unique opportunity to ask about the ongoing process of Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe.

On November 8, the group participated in the Ceremony for the Innovation of Democracy and in the distribution of diplomas of the Political School by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mrs. Marija Pejčinović Burić.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Council of Europe for its continued support and for the opportunity to participate in the Forum, as well as the opportunity to participate in discussions about democracy on a global stage.
