School of Politics (Generation 22) has officially kicked off with the first seminar this weekend!
From March 22nd to March 24th, the next generation of potential future leaders embarked on an energetic journey during our first seminar. It was a weekend filled with insightful discussions, valuable lessons, and memorable moments that truly summarized the essence of political education and community building.
Day 1 – Getting started:
We began the seminar with great enthusiasm as we delved into the program's introduction. We were honored to welcome distinguished guests, including the representative of the Council of Europe Office in Kosovo Ms. Maryanne Hennesey, and Granit J. Tërnava from Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Kosovo (KAS) as longstanding partners of the School of Politics.
Under the moderation of Mr. Ramadan Ilazi we engaged in various team-building activities and stimulating discussions on the Conceptual Discussion of State, Peace, and Conflict. During the afternoon, Mr. Ditmir Bushati talked with the group about the Understanding of the Polycrisis and Global Interconnected Risks.
Day 2 – Delving into State-building and a resilient future:
Saturday brought a deeper exploration of Kosovo's Statebuilding Process and its navigation through the Polycrisis, led by the insightful Mr. Robert Muharremi. The afternoon session, facilitated by Mr. Mark Baskin, shed light on The Western Balkans Amidst Complex Crises, sparking thought-provoking dialogues and critical reflections on regional challenges and opportunities.
Day 3 – Kosovo’s Strategic Alliances and Isolation vs Cooperation:
As our seminar drew to a close, we had the privilege of engaging with Ms. Drita Perezic (External Security Sector Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kosovo), who shared very useful insights on Strategic Alliances of Kosovo. Mr. Blerim Shala then captivated us with his discussion on Isolation vs Cooperation and Kosovo in the Context of Polycrisis, leaving the group with much to think about on Kosovo's path forward.
Throughout the seminar, the energy was evident, fueled by lively discussions, positive vibes, and meaningful networking opportunities. We are hugely grateful to all our speakers, moderators, and participants for contributing to the success of this seminar.
