The 21st Generation of the School of Politics had a thought-provoking discussion that sheds light on a crucial issue: 'Gender (in)equality and the underrepresentation of women in politics, focused on the Gender perspective in the Emergency Management Agency (AME).
The group from the school produced a comprehensive paper (one-pager) that addresses this issue and its implications. The paper's recommendations for the Emergency Management Agency (AME) include increasing transparency, implementing the Law on Gender Equality, using gender-sensitive language, and promoting women in leadership positions.
Our group delved deep into the challenges faced by women in policymaking and the critical importance of their active involvement in shaping policies and strategies. We recognized the need to foster an environment that embraces diverse perspectives and ensures gender equality within the AME and beyond.
The School of Politics is supported by the Council of Europe.
