On December 17, PIPS published the results of the survey International Politics and the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS). Some of the main findings of this report are:
-For the respondents the three main partner states to Kosovo are: US, Germany, and Great Britain;
-Angela Merkel is the preferred leader with a figure of around 63%, US President Donald Trump comes second with around 15%, while Turkish President Erdogan comes third with 10%;
-Around 50% believe that Kosovo has been damaged by Serbia’s campaign to withdraw Kosovo’s recognition;
-Around 44% say the new Kosovo Government should abolish the 100% tariff on Serbian products, and around 45% believe the tariff should remain in place.
-The most preferred option for most respondents regarding the dialogue with Serbia, about 69%, is that Kosovo should seek recognition in the existing borders;
