About School of Politics
Prishtina School of Politics has been founded in 2003 as a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and a group of Kosovan young activists, aiming the promotion of a new political culture and social life based on common values- tolerance and open dialogue. The founders set up a goal on promoting the creation of a young political leaders emerging from fundamental level in Kosova as the basic idea on which the organization operates. Upon successful completion of two subsequent generations of School of Politics, the Council of Europe supported its establishment as a Kosovan non-profit, an independent organization called the Prishtina Institute for Political Studies. PIPS took over the implementation of this project in 2004 by registering as a foundation, part of the Council of Europe’s Network of Schools for Political Studies from 2008 known as European Association of the School for Political Studies (www.schoolofpoliticalstudies.eu) which consist of 19 Schools from the whole world.
